Abstract

Currently, the approach to job satisfaction is taking interest as a key aspect in the development and performance of all types of organizations. A company that has high levels of satisfaction among its employees has better levels of performance. In the case of the textile sector of Arequipa, Peru, the application of strategies for job satisfaction is an area that is under construction. The objective of this work is to describe the job satisfaction of workers in textile manufacturing companies in Arequipa, Peru. The research is quantitative, non-experimental and descriptive, a questionnaire was applied to workers of some companies in the sector. The results indicate that the workers of these organizations are moderately satisfied in their jobs, thus evidencing a deficit in the maximum possible performance by these companies. The directors and managers of these companies must generate policies aimed at improving the levels of job satisfaction, thus allowing to increase the productivity and efficiency of their organizations.
